A 1.5 acre organic farm provides vegetables for the public to buy at our Farm Stand and for use in YMCA Cedar Glen’s dining hall. The organic farm educates campers and students about organic vegetables and sustainable agriculture. The farm is certified organic, meaning no synthetic chemicals are used on the farm, pests have naturally occurring predators and weeds are removed by hand. Market gardening principles keep farming activities at a human level and reduce the need for tractor work.
A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program allows CSA members to pick up a weekly share from Cedar Glen or purchase fresh produce at weekly Farm Stands in Toronto at West End YMCA and Cooper Koo Family YMCA.
