YMCA Named one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers for Seventh Consecutive Year
Today the YMCA of Greater Toronto was selected as one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers for its seventh consecutive year. This special designation recognizes the nation’s leading organizations when it comes to having exceptional workplace diversity and inclusiveness programs and initiatives.
The YMCA of Greater Toronto provides employment opportunities and programs for everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, race, religion, income level, sexual orientation or ability. The GTA is constantly growing and becoming more diverse – and it’s this diversity that makes it a great place to live and work.
Through our Strong Start, Great Future campaign that started in 2010, the YMCA of Greater Toronto is committed to the development of 10 new Centres of Community to support the changing needs of the region.

Facilitated workshops also occur throughout the year, to encourage discussion on diversity and inclusion topics. Employees from all areas of the Y contribute their insights to these conversations based on their lived experience.
