Location(s) YMCA Cedar Glen Outdoor Education Centre located at 13 300 Concession 11, Schomberg.

Program Description

Located in the beautiful Muskokas, YMCA Camp Pine Crest has been operating premiere camping and canoe tripping for over 110 years. YMCA Camp Pine Crest operates as a summer camp in July and August and provides outdoor centre programs to a variety of school and special interest groups during the fall, winter and spring.

Major Duties

Major Duties May Include:

  • Clearing tables.
  • Sorting dirty dishes and preparing them for washing. 
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Refilling salad buffet and general food prep.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age 16 years old or turning 16 in the current calendar year.
  • Volunteers age 18 and above will need to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening from their local police service before their first day of volunteering and every three years on the anniversary of their first day of volunteering.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work with others in a team setting.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Responsible, reliable and committed to the role.
  • First Aid an asset.
  • Food Handling Certificate an asset.
