Immigrant Services
The YMCA provides a wide range of services to give immigrants all the help and support they need to begin their new lives in Canada.
Newcomer Information Centre:
The YMCA Newcomer Information Center is the first stop for immigrants and refugees to get Settlement Information. Our friendly, multilingual, and knowledgeable staff provides free access to trusted & reliable information and referral services. Learn more about the YMCA Newcomer Information Centre.

Language Assessment Centre:
Please Note: An appointment for a language assessment must be scheduled in advance. Please call 416-925-5462 to book your appointment before coming into the centre. Learn more about the YMCA Language Assessment Centre.

Next Stop Canada:
Next Stop Canada is an online national pre-arrival services program funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for people who are already approved to immigrate to Canada but haven’t landed yet. It provides personalized information on settlement-related topics to prepare adults and youth (aged 12-19) newcomers before they arrive in Canada. Learn more about Next Stop Canada.

Youth Programs
Join a YMCA to make new friends, learn new skills, access counselling, or a wide-variety of youth programs and services.
Newcomer Youth Leadership Development Program:
The Newcomer Youth Leadership Development Program offers newcomer youth who are between the ages of 13-24 with opportunities to build leadership skills, become engaged members of the community and grow their social networks.
