Prepare youth for a better future.

Donate to help young people find permanent solutions to homelessness.

3,000 youth experience homelessness in Toronto every night.

Beyond a hot meal and safe place to sleep, The Wagner Green YMCA provides these young people with wrap-around supports that help them return to school, find work, and, ultimately, live independently in safe housing of their own.

By supporting this youth shelter and drop-in centre, you can make a meaningful difference for youth who otherwise have nowhere left to turn. Here are some examples of the ways your gift can help young people experiencing homelessness get a fresh start:

MORE THAN A SHELTER.

Since 2015, the Wagner Green YMCA has offered a wide range of services to help unhoused and marginalized youth rebuild their lives and secure brighter futures.

And we do it together with generous people like you.

What is Units for Youth?

  • Units for Youth is a subsidy program to help youth transition to independent living.
  • We work directly with landlords to secure apartments for youth ages 16-24.
  • For one year, youth get a bursary to cover some of their rent and a caseworker by their side as they build accountability and life skills.

The goal for this program is to have youth develop the financial stability and confidence to maintain their housing on their own. You can support programs like Units for Youth, and help provide essential items that young people need to settle comfortably into their own apartment. Give today and be part of someone’s fresh start.
