Why join our YMCA Day Camp team?

  • With more than 50 locations across the GTA, we likely have a Camp in your community!
  • Most positions are full-time contracts Monday – Friday for 9 weeks of summer
  • YMCA Day Camp positions will challenge you and reward you in so many ways. Learn new skills, make new friends, and make a positive impact in the lives of children and youth in your community, while having FUN!
  • Rates of pay range from $16–$20.50/hour

Minimum requirements of all YMCA Day Camp positions

  • Age 16 by December 31
  • Standard First Aid and CPR “C” (St. Johns, Red Cross, Lifesaving Society or Ski Patrol)
  • Police Records Check

What type of positions are available?

Whatever your interests, our various departments offer several opportunities to join our team:

  • Outdoor Education staff work year-round with schools, youth groups and other organizations to lead a variety of outdoor education programs. Seasonal contracts are available and hiring takes place several times throughout the year.
  • Day Camp roles such as counsellors, life guards, program heads and many more spend the summer outdoors leading a variety of fun programming for our day camps. Positions are posted in winter and hiring takes place from January to June.
  • Food Service team members work in our kitchen to serve delicious and nutritious meals to our guests.
  • Customer Service hosts work at our front desk and assist our guests.
  • Maintenance & Housekeeping staff keep our site clean and looking great for campers and guests.
