YMCA of Greater Toronto Recognized as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers 15 Years in a Row
Toronto – April 22, 2025 – The YMCA of Greater Toronto is proud to be selected as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers – marking the 15th consecutive year the charity has received the distinction.
Reasons include the charity’s:
• 263-acre YMCA Cedar Glen Outdoor Education Centre that features a four-acre certified organic garden, spring maple syrup production, a small orchard, apiaries, perennial herb production and seedling sales, and a greenhouse constructed from mostly recycled and reused materials,
• and Central YMCA public green roof in downtown Toronto, which includes a running track, a walkway, native plant species, and space for outdoor yoga and exercise.
