Taking Pride in our Diversity: YMCA Pride 2018 Workshop Series
Join our YMCA Pride committee members as they guide this year’s workshop series, designed to show how the Y supports the health and wellbeing of people in LGBTQ2S+ communities by removing barriers to programs, spaces, and services. From May 31 to July 11, they’ll be delivering interactive discussions on the theme “Brave Spaces, Being our Authentic Self” at various YMCA locations (free and open to all, registration not required). Organized by the YMCA’s Pride Committee in collaboration with The 519, the series will explore creating inclusive spaces for gender and sexual diversity.
Promoting open conversations and the exchange of knowledge and experiences is one of many important ways that the YMCA creates inclusive spaces. Don’t miss this opportunity to get involved and learn about the importance of creating Brave Spaces, Being our Authentic Self.
