Note: The YMCA Academy high school, child care, Family Resource Centre, and day camps programs are located in the Toronto Breadalbane YMCA Centre. This north building of the Central Y facility is accessible via a walkway on the 2nd floor, or from street level at 15 Breadalbane St.

Day Camp Programs

Toronto Central Y Day is a super active, high energy camp community welcoming 80-100 campers per week to participate in a variety of engaging camp programs. Each day campers will start and end their day with an opening circle in the gym, before counselors break off and follow their daily schedule with their group of 10-12 campers for their specific program.

In addition to program specific activities, campers will visit Queens Park for outdoor camps and have three recreational swims per week in the Central YMCA indoor swimming pool. Extended Hours is available on site for an additional fee of $15/week for AM, $25/week for PM or $40 for both.

Programs offered at this location vary from week to week and include:

  • Swimming Lessons (Both 1 hour and 2 hour per day lesson options)

Health & Fitness Membership Categories and Pricing

Our membership types and fees are designed to cater to all budgets and schedules.* To join today, simply bring valid photo ID and pre-authorized payment (a void cheque or credit card information) to the membership desk. Our team can help you determine which of the following categories best suits your needs:

  • Adult General: Our Adult General membership is for individuals age 22 and up. Included in your monthly fee of $58 is access to all our amenities and program areas; unlimited group fitness classes; and unlimited access to our drop-in sports and rec programs.
  • Adult Plus: Upgrade to an Adult Plus Membership for $102 per month and enjoy extra amenities such as saunas, whirlpools, steam rooms, lounges, and workout areas, as well as complimentary towel service and tea/coffee. Adult Plus members must be 22 years of age or older.
  • Family General: Family General Memberships include a maximum of two adult partners living at the same address, and any number of dependent children aged 21 years or younger. Included in your monthly fee of $97 is access to all our amenities and program areas; unlimited group fitness classes; and unlimited access to our drop-in sports and rec programs for every individual on the membership.
  • Family Plus: Upgrade to a Family Plus Membership for $171 per month and enjoy extra amenities such as saunas, whirlpools, steam rooms, lounges, and workout areas, as well as complimentary towel service and tea/coffee. Members must be 22 years of age or older to access Plus amenities.
  • Child/Youth: The YMCA is committed to the development of our next generation of leaders and innovators. Our unique programs are designed to ensure children and youth live full, active, and healthy lives. This membership category is for all young people from age 0 to 21, and is available for $39 per month.

Studio 1 Closure

To allow us to refurbish the floor, Studio 1 will be closed from Saturday, April 21 at 2:00 pm to Tuesday, April 24 at 5:00 am. All classes scheduled in Studio 1 will be relocated to Studio 2. Sunday's 10:30 am Kettlebell class will be cancelled. We appreciate your patience as we work to update our facilities, and can't wait to re-open the new-and-improved studio!

Try something new, or brush up on your technique in our free squash clinics! We'll have two sessions, open to the public, and FREE, on April 10 from 6:20 - 7:40 pm.

Youth Squash Clinic

Sessions for 5 - 15 year olds run every Saturday from April 14 - June 9 at the following times:

  • 11:00 - 11:40 am
  • 11:40 am - 12:20 pm
  • 12:20 pm - 1:00 pm

(Please note that we will be on break on May 19 for the Victoria Day weekend.)

If your child's mastered our swim lessons, there are plenty of opportunities for them to continue to learn and grow. The YMCA is proud to offer a wide range of lifesaving programs, and has been recognized by the Lifesaving Society year after year for offering some of the largest programs in Ontario. Our 8-week Junior Lifeguard Program is for youth age 8 - 15 who want to learn lifesaving skills and get the chance to compete. If your child's excited about swimming, eager to learn about lifeguarding, and ready to make new friends while attending competitions, set up a tryout for them today!
