Located in the heart of the quickly growing Canary District, our newest Centre of Community is an 82,000 square foot, fully accessible facility. It features something for everyone, including two pools, an indoor track and gymnasium, weight room, cardio machines, green roof, kids’ play structure, cycling studio, functional fitness training space, and more.

This legacy building from the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games was developed in partnership with Waterfront Toronto, Infrastructure Ontario, and the Province of Ontario. Summer Day Camp

YMCA Day Camp programs will keep your child active and engaged throughout the summer months with fun, structured activities in a welcoming environment that encourages and instills positive values. Campers will develop new skills, make new friends, and build self-esteem and confidence under the supervision of a highly trained YMCA staff team.

Programs include: Creative Arts, Dance & Drama, Eco Camp, Science, Multi-Sport Combo, Wacky Sports, Variety and Media Arts Programs. 

This location also offers "Discovery" camp, a great introduction to camp for your 4 and 5 year olds! Please Note campers must be 4 years old by the first day of the program.

Health & Fitness Membership Categories and Pricing

Our membership types and fees are designed to cater to all budgets and schedules.* To join today, simply bring valid photo ID and pre-authorized payment (a void cheque or credit card information) to the membership desk. Our team can help you determine which of the following categories best suits your needs:

  • Young Adult: To support young people in building healthy habits, we offer a reduced membership rate of $45 per month to those between the ages of 22 and 29.
  • Adult General: Our Adult General membership is for individuals age 30 and up. Included in your monthly fee of $55 is access to all our amenities and program areas; unlimited group fitness classes; and unlimited access to our drop-in sports and rec programs.
  • Adult Plus: Upgrade to an Adult Plus Membership for $78 per month and enjoy extra amenities such as saunas, whirlpools, steam rooms, lounges, and workout areas, as well as complimentary towel service and tea/coffee. Adult Plus members must be 22 years of age or older.
  • Family General: Family General Memberships include a maximum of two adult partners living at the same address, and any number of dependent children aged 21 years or younger. Included in your monthly fee of $89 is access to all our amenities and program areas; unlimited group fitness classes; and unlimited access to our drop-in sports and rec programs for every individual on the membership.
  • Family Plus: Upgrade to a Family Plus Membership for $135 per month and enjoy extra amenities such as saunas, whirlpools, steam rooms, lounges, and workout areas, as well as complimentary towel service and tea/coffee. Members must be 22 years of age or older to access Plus amenities.
  • Child/Youth: The YMCA is committed to the development of our next generation of leaders and innovators. Our unique programs are designed to ensure children and youth live full, active, and healthy lives. This membership category is for all young people from age 0 to 21, and is available for $39 per month. Full-time students are also eligible for this reduced membership price of $39 per month.

Please note that the above rates are for members participating at the Cooper Koo Y exclusively, and are not valid at any other YMCA Health and Fitness Centre. If you'd like access to all 9 YMCA Health and Fitness centres in the GTA, you can still sign up at the Cooper Koo YMCA, but your membership rates will be as follows:

  • Adult General: $58 per month
  • Adult Plus: $99 per month
  • Family General: $97 per month
  • Family Plus: $171 per month
  • Child/Youth: $39 per month

Get your weekly cardio workout for free in September during our Wednesday evening CardioFit Box group fitness class. Starting on Wednesday, September 6th at 7:00 pm, your instructor will guide you through boxing punches, kicks and other athletic drills designed to keep your heart rate high. Classes are free and open to the public until the end of September; no YMCA membership required.

Give private lessons a try by starting with a single session, or get a reduced rate by buying lessons in bulk:

  • Single session: $27.50 (plus tax)
  • 4 session package: $105 (plus tax)
  • 8 session package: $200 (plus tax)
  • 12 session package: $270 (plus tax)
  • 24 session package: $480 (plus tax)

Private lessons are available for anyone with or without a YMCA membership. Non-members must purchase a day pass on the days they'll be attending their lessons.

Pick up your organic produce, grown locally at the YMCA's Cedar Glen farm!

Organic vegetables

YMCA Cedar Glen Organic Farm, located in Schomberg, grows over 60 kinds of crops including lettuce, onions, tomatoes, kale, beets, and basil. Every summer, we bring our fresh produce to your doorstep through our Farm Stands. Starting on August 12th and ending on October 7th, stop by the Cooper Koo YMCA on Saturdays between 9:00 am – 12:00 noon to peruse our selection and take home some fresh veggies! You can also sign up for our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.

What is Community Support Agriculture? 

Our CSA program members get first pick of the fresh fruits, veggies, and herbs grown locally at the YMCA Cedar Glen Organic Farm. Here's how it works:

  • Every week from August 12th – October 7th, we'll send you a list of produce available from our farm. You choose what you want to eat, we bring it downtown for you, and you stop by the Cooper Koo YMCA on Saturdays between 9:00 am – 12:00 noon to pick it up.
  • You'll get to choose from different options each week, including lettuce, kale, chard, spinach, arugula, beets, carrots, onions, radishes, turnips, tomatoes, beans, peppers, squash, peas, zucchini, pumpkin, parsley, dill, cilantro, basil, thyme, and sage.
  • Just by getting a CSA membership, you're supporting community agriculture and helping an organic, local farm flourish.
  • You're also helping educate youth about where their food comes from. In July and August, the YMCA Cedar Glen Organic Farm is home to our farm camp, where kids ages 9–12 learn how food grows, what happens to it after it's harvested, and what organic produce means for their health.

Small Group Training

Get a personalized workout program from a fitness professional at an affordable rate by training with a small group of like-minded others. You’ll get close attention from an exercise expert and a routine that caters to your unique goals, but you’ll also get to spend quality time with your partner or a whole group of friends. Your trainer can teach you about functional fitness, TRX, the Queenax and more.

How it works:

  • A YMCA personal trainer will guide you through your custom workout in a small group of no more than six people.
  • Each session is a full hour.
  • Beginner and advanced groups are available.
  • A minimum of three and a maximum of six people are in each group.
  • You can sign up with a pre-arranged group of friends, or join independently and be matched with a group.
  • Packages of four 60-minute sessions are only $80.
