YMCA Day Camp staff are ready for summer

As students complete the school year, many can’t wait to sleep in, veg out in front of the TV and play video games all day. But have no fear, parents! YMCA Day Camps are ready to keep your kids busy all summer long. Let’s meet some YMCA Day Camp staff and learn what your children could expect at YMCA Cedar Glen’s Day Camp:
Camp Name: Femo
Number of Summers at Cedar Glen: “This will by my 11th summer!”
Most Memorable Moment: “I had a camper who just loved to sing camp songs… it was so much fun to march around camp belting out camp songs with a group of campers!”
Why Cedar Glen?: “I get so excited about the great impact we will have in so many camper’s lives. I especially see this through our YMCA Values Beads program. It’s amazing to see campers learn about our core values (respect, responsibility, inclusiveness, caring, honesty, health) and apply them to their lives!”
Camp Name: Trek
Number of Summers at Cedar Glen: “This is my 6th summer!”
Most Memorable Moment: “A camper refused to go near the climbing wall. After 2 weeks he tried the wall and got up a couple rocks. It made me so happy that he eventually tried what he was uncomfortable with!”
Why Cedar Glen?: “The staff and campers! Cedar Glen has become a family. I feel so comfortable being there and have created great relationships. Plus you work by singing and having fun!”
Camp Name: Swift
Number Summers at Cedar Glen: “6 Summers!”
Most Memorable Moment: “A camper earned a leadership bead, and I have never seen a better reaction! He was so genuinely excited about his accomplishments. To me that is what camp is all about – seeing kids grow into the people they can be.”
Why Cedar Glen?: “Cedar Glen provides an opportunity that is so unique for kids to be a part of. There are an abundance of programs that are all delivered by excellent staff. All kids should have outdoors experiences, build relationships and just have fun - Cedar Glen is an excellent provider of that!”
