Winter wonderland at YMCA Pine Crest Family Camp
The Pine Crest Family Winter Camp is our home away from home,” says Annette. “Every year all of us look forward to it, asking ourselves when the day will come to pack our stuff and drive to winter paradise."
Every year, they head two and a half hours north of Toronto to spend a weekend on Clear Lake in Muskoka. The family was acquainted with the 650 acres of rolling hills, trails and fields of Camp Pine Crest and wanted to experience it in the winter too. Winter Family Camp, which has been running for 6 years, is the perfect opportunity to explore the outdoors and get active with family and friends.
Winter activities for both parents and kids include:
- Tubing
- Back country skiing
- Snowshoeing
- High ropes
- Broomball
- Snow fort building
- Wilderness skills
- Natural arts and crafts
- Evening programs
The fun is for all ages too! Adrian and his family most look forward to tubing, “from the top of the hill to the bottom, screaming and laughing like we are all kids again!” According to Adrian, Winter Family Camp “is the perfect environment where you can unwind, relax and recharge, with time to reflect about you and your family.”
Take part in the fun
