Our Shaw Street Day Camp’s two pottery programs are perfect for budding artists. In Junior Pottery, campers aged 6 to 8 learn hand-building techniques and let their creative juices flow as they create vases and other functional and decorative ceramic pieces to take home. The Senior Pottery program, for 9-12 year olds, is a more advanced, two-week camp that includes hand building, decorating, and glazing application techniques. They even get to try a pottery wheel!
Sr. Silk Screen and Print Making is another program designed to please your camper's artistic side. Campers are introduced to the art and techniques of silk screen and print making, then put these skills to use with hands-on workshops where they make their own cards and shirts to take home.
You can learn more about these programs first-hand on April 30th from 1pm to 4pm at our Shaw Street open house. Stop by and experience the fun activities your campers will get to do at Shaw Street Y Day Camp!

Curbing learning loss this summer can have many benefits for your camper. In this program, children will work with an Ontario Certified Teacher in grade-level STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) designed to help campers focus on honing their academic skills, all while having fun in a supportive camp environment.
