YMCA celebrates World Pride

Today kicks off the first day of World Pride 2014, a week-long event to celebrate the history, current achievements and future of LGBTTIQQ2SA* communities all over the world. Pride Week in Toronto usually draws 1.2 million participants, and this year the YMCA is getting in on the action!

YMCA World Pride


We're hosting a free, public workshop series called Rise Up and Take Pride - an interactive 90-minute session that will explore issues and beliefs about homophobia and heterosexism. These workshops will be presented by Teens Educating and Confronting Homophobia (T.E.A.C.H.), a program by Planned Parenthood Toronto.
