We are very fortunate to be part of the lives of our members and their families as we provide the programs and services they want and need. Though we hear great stories quite often, it's letters like these that remind us why we do what we do. Special thanks to the Balasubramaniam family for sharing their extraordinary story with us!
Dear YMCA,
I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation of the welcoming atmosphere at your [Mississauga Burnhamthorpe]YMCA centre. My son, Krishnan, has been suffering from neurological Wilson's Disease* for the past seven years and has made tremendous improvement ever since he has resumed participating in your programs from November 2012.
He has assimilated very well with YMCA staff and members who provide very positive and encouraging support, which has been a great incentive for his physical and emotional improvement.
We cannot thank you enough for your continued support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Vatsala Balasubramaniam (Mother)
