With 140 years of camping tradition, YMCA Camp Pine Crest has recently opened up its doors to Google Maps. Camp Pine Crest is a place where people from all ages can come together to appreciate the natural world while participating in challenging and fun programs! Check us out in the comfort of your own home in case you were wondering if this is the place for you, your kids or an upcoming event. Take a virtual tour through Google Maps and we hope that it captures the true essence and beauty of our camp. While you’re ‘walking’ through different parts of the site, you might see notice some of our extraordinary environmental features.
Did you notice that we don’t use any motors on our waters? We do, however, use a lot of canoes! Campers learn the basics of paddling and swimmers in the water appreciate our clean and safe waters. You may have noticed our Natural Arts Center for those who may not be into water based activities. Here we get creative with wood, clay, wax, paper, leather and you can get creative with photography in the dark room. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, you might also like our Woodcraft program where you get the chance to explore nature and learn how to identify wildlife. Take a walk through the forested areas of the camp site, you can get a heads up and start identifying some of the trees from the comfort of your couch! Here is a little sneak peak…
