Now that the city is finally thawing (*happy dance*), and spring is almost here, it's time to indulge in the excitement that the season brings.  Whether you're finally getting a break from school or if you're scrambling to find something to do for your kids, March Break is the time of the year when those fortunate enough to take part in it indulge in the little slice of time to relax, enjoy a new sport, be a tourist in their own city, or enjoy new friends and activities at day camp.


No matter what, though, three questions will always be asked:


"What's for breakfast?"


"What's for lunch?"


"What's for dinner?"


Not to worry--we're here to help! Whether you've spent all day outside, or are in the middle of a staycation, we've got 5 delicious and nutritious recipes that you can make with your family and friends when the munchies come on strong.


Rainbow Fruit Salad with Strawberry Dip


Eat your colours! The fun and fruity dish will ensure that you get all the nutrients your body needs to keep up with all of the activities you'll be doing. Get the family to help by asking them to decorate the plate!


Greek Nachos


This healthy twist on an old favourite is all the flavour, all the nurtrients, and takes your tastebuds on an adventure to the Mediterranean--no passport required.


Honey Apple Snack Mix


You might have all of the ingredients for this quick and healthy snack in your pantry and fridge already! Sticky, sweet and full of flavour--not to mention sharable with everyone you make this with.


Pasta Nest


A twist on an old favourite, this dish from Crafty Moods will have your family mulling between whether it's more fun to make or to eat. Almost guaranteed to generate second plate requests.


Whole Grain Crispie Granola Bars


Ditch the store-bought granola bars (often full of sugar) and get all hands on deck to make these tasty bars from Sticky Gooey Creamy Chewy that will fuel all of the fun activities you're bound to do this week.
