Peace building at the YMCA Volunteer Conference

As an extraordinary close to YMCA Peace Week 2013, last Saturday our Volunteer Global Awareness Team facilitated a Peace Building workshop at the YMCA Volunteer Conference.
The group initiated thought provoking discussions around peace building and what actions we can take locally, nationally and globally to build peace. As part of the workshop, participants also created peace flowers and cooperated to create a physical expression of peace.
So many inspiring ideas were packed into the workshop, and everyone walked away with more ideas about how we can work together to build peaceful communities.
