1. Find a staff member to show you around when you first get there, and don't be afraid to ask questions! If you are unsure about how to use a certain machine, our staff will be more than happy to give you a little lesson. And there's no need to be embarrassed - remember, every other person working out around you had to be taught when they first started too!
2. Take a class. Grab a copy of the schedule and highlight any classes you are interested in trying out. Group fitness is a great way to try out different types of exercise, since most classes are only an hour long. We have enough variety that you're sure to find something you enjoy.
3. Bring a friend! It’s always easier to find your way around when you’ve got a buddy with you, plus experts say people are more motivated to work out when they're with a friend.
4. Join a small group training session. It’s a cost efficient way to navigate your way around the gym with a personal trainer, as well as learn some new exercises for your own routine. But if you can afford it, hire a personal trainer for some one-on-one consultation. In just a few sessions they can put together a specific program for you based on your personal goals and comfort level.
5. Bring some supplies. Take a towel with you to wipe down equipment in the conditioning room, and bring a lock so you can keep your stuff secure. But if you forget either of those things that's fine, you can rent them from us for the day.
