If you know Elizabeth then you know her ability to make everyone she meets smile. Here are a few things you may not know about her:
Q: How long have you worked at YMCA Cedar Glen?
A: It’ll have been 3 years this coming January.
Q: What is your favourite place at Cedar Glen?
A: Down in the valley my favourite place is the adventure cabin but nothing can compare to Cedar Glen’s kitchen. It’s hands down my favourite place.
Q: What’s your favourite Cedar Glen memory?
A: This Fall we had Richmond Hill Montessori come for a few nights and on their last morning some of the students took it upon themselves to line up in front of the kitchen staff and one by one tell us what their favourite meal had been. It was very touching.
Q: What’s your favourite meal prepared by Cedar Glen kitchen staff?
A: Linda makes a mean chicken stew on rice. It’s a newer meal but I love it and most of our participants do as well. On the other hand Evan makes a great meatloaf. It’s hard to pick just one.
Q: Where did you work before Cedar Glen?
A: I use to work at Vince’s Market. I worked there 15 years and would move around to multiple locations. I spent 10 years as Deli Manager followed by 5 years in catering. I sometimes see some of my former customers here at Cedar Glen which is always wonderful.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Not many people know this but I am an avid comic book collector. I love going to comic book conventions too and one time I met Peter Mayhew, the actor who played Chewbacca in Star Wars. He is really tall!
Q: What’s at the top of your bucket list?
A: I have a pretty serious fear of heights and I keep telling myself that I would like to take a helicopter ride sometime. I don’t know if I ever will but I want to conquer my fear.
