Emotional Intelligence: Do your emotions affect the way you work?
Recent brain and behavioural research has indicated that emotional factors may play an equally important, if not a more important, role in the success of our health, relationships and work than our IQ. The Emotional Quotient Inventory (also known as EQ-i) can provide insight into:
- How you perceive and express yourself
- How you develop and maintain relationships
- How you cope with challenges
- How you can use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way
The EQ -i assessment can be generated in a standard or leadership report, depending on the individual’s needs. The EQ-i leadership report is valuable for organizations, particularly if they want their leaders to deal with conflict better, to connect with their employees better, and to be stronger communicators.
The YMCA of Greater Toronto provides assessments and counselling to individuals of all ages who are seeking a deeper self-awareness and an understanding of their greatest strengths/assets. We provide personality, interest and aptitude assessments to students, recent graduates, and those who are searching for a career change or looking to return to the workforce.
In addition to our packages for individuals, the Y also offers workshops focusing on specific assessments and areas of development including Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Change Style Indicator (CSI), Enneagram Personality Type, and Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i).
