Woodbine Beach (where Woodbine Ave. meets Lakeshore Blvd.)
This is probably the city's most popular beach, as well as the best place to play beach volleyball. Some beach-goers opt to swim here in the summer, while most either get active with some sort of sports game, or lie in the sand and soak up the sun.
Bluffer's Park (1 Brimley Rd. S., Scarborough)
Bluffer's Park offers both a sandy beach and a path up the Scarborough Bluffs, which boasts a magnificent view once you get to the top. This beach is probably best for hikers looking for a quiet, scenic walk.
Sugar Beach (where Lower Jarvis meets Queens Quay)
While there is no swimming here, Sugar Beach is perfect for relaxing under a pink umbrella and catch up on your reading. There is also some sandy space for some quiet playtime with kids.
Centre Island Beach (Centre Island)
This is a beach your kids will love. The shallow water at Centre Island Beach is blocked from waves, which makes for a safe space for little ones to splash around. Plus, since you're on the island you can also take advantage of its fun cycling and walking paths, as well as some fairground rides your kids will enjoy.
