With a dream to go live and work in Vancouver, British Columbia, Anice Wong, is following her heart and making her dream a reality. It’s never easy to move to a new city, but for Anice, moving to Vancouver, she says “it’s like I’m going home”.
With a background in Film and Video Production from York University and a post-graduate certificate in International Development from Humber College, Anice has been able to combine her passion for art and traveling. Her love for photography and being in the outdoors has led her to start a new job in Vancouver where she will be working as a photographer.
We will miss her in Toronto! Her active involvement with various non-profit environmental organizations has led her mark in our city. Anice been actively involved with the YMCA GTA as an environmental blogger where she helped us document the YMCAs environmental initiatives. She also deserves to be recognized for putting Toronto on the chart as a Fair Trade City. As the Volunteer Coordinator for Fair Trade Toronto she helped promote the availability of fair trade products in cafes and restaurants throughout the city.
As sad as we are to see her go; we want to wish Anice the best of luck in this new chapter of her life. All the best in your new job and future endeavours! Let’s face it, we all wish we could be spending more time by the water and mountains. In fact, it was one of Anice’s goals to be by the Pacific Ocean for her birthday this summer. We can safely say that she will easily achieve this goal!
