Description

The Spanish River is located in Northern Ontario and runs west of Sudbury. The Spanish River was formally used as a means of transportation for people and materials, as a main route for Canada’s first nations, and as a link between the north shore of Lake Huron and the James Bay Watershed. This trip will follow the west branch of the river from Biscotasing, ending at Agnew Lake. Participants will paddle 165km in 9 days through some of the world’s largest red pine and white pine old-growth forests while learning about themselves and experiencing the challenges of whitewater paddling. This trip is an all-gendered program, both trip and cabin accommodations will be all gendered. Participants will be at camp for a total of 4 days: 2 days before the trip and 2 days after the trip.

This bus will take your camper from Hollywood Public School to YMCA Camp Pine Crest.
All buses are supervised by Pine Crest staff bus marshals. Parents are required to sign campers in and out with the bus marshals upon pick-up and drop-off. Upon pick-up, a valid piece of government-issued ID is required and the individual must be on the campers authorized pick-up list.
Buses depart at the time stated on the bus schedule and will not wait for absent campers. Please arrive approximately 30 minutes before the stated departure time.
This bus stop is located at 360 Hollywood Ave, North York.

After registration, any changes in busing needs should be communicated to the Camp Registration Office at register@ymcagta.org.
PROGRAM WITHDRAWL POLICY:
Registration for busing will close one week prior to program start date. Request to withdraw from bus can be done through your My Y account before April 30 of the current camp year. You will receive a refund if you withdraw before April 30th. No refunds will be granted after April 30 of the camp season.
