Day Camp
Description
Outdoor Explorers is an active, creative, nature based program. Campers will be introduced to nature through outdoor play, foraging for natural art materials and learning about bugs, critters, trees and plants. To complement this program, campers will participate in a variety of traditional camp activities. Campers are required to be 4 years of age on the first day of camp and toilet independently. Supervision 1:10 ratio.
Location
Y Day Camp utilizes Terra Cotta Conservation Area to deliver a variety of outdoor programs. This location has access to a pavillion, hiking and biking trails, and green space. Programs operate outdoors rain or shine! Campers will swim off site at a nearby community pool. Camp operates 9:00am – 4:00pm. Extended hours are available on site from 7:30 - 9:00am and 4:00 - 6:00pm for an additional fee of $50/week. Bussing is available for $75/week round trip. Government Child Care Subsidy
If you currently attend YMCA Child Care and receive Government Child Care Subsidy, please continue to register online. Your account will be adjusted to reflect this at billing. Continuing to register will secure your child’s space until the YMCA receives confirmation from your local municipality.
Children who receive Government Child Care Subsidy and are interested in attending day camp programming may register for any day camp program that does not include an overnight component. We encourage families to select a different program each week when registering for multiple weeks.
NOTE: Families using City of Toronto child care subsidy must start and end their day (AM and PM) at a licensed Extended Hours program for the weeks they are registered for camp.

The YMCA reserves the right to amend your child’s registration to the approved municipal rate. If we are unable to receive confirmation of your assisted rate, your child’s registration will be adjusted to be charged the full program fee.
