Get ready for an incredible week of excitement, outdoor education, and winter fun! Welcome to March Break Overnight Camp at YMCA Camp Pine Crest! This camp is open to youth aged 9-13 and will take place from March 10-14, 2025. Details below!
Participants will enjoy playing outdoors, challenging themselves, and making new friends on our beautiful 650-acre property in the heart of Muskoka.
This week's activities will be weather-dependent but are likely to include snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, high ropes, arts and crafts, snow tubing, maple sugaring and so much more! Cabin groups will rotate through activities together for a chance to try it all! Participants can also look forward to our skills program, where they can pick one activity that they’re looking to master and hone their abilities all week long! Camp in the winter is a unique experience that lends itself to a new appreciation of the Canadian Outdoors.
Pine Crest is offering bus transportation to and from this event, however parents are more than welcome to drop their campers off at camp if they prefer! The bus to camp will leave from the Central YMCA at 8am on Monday March 10 and will also pick up at Hollywood PS around 9:15am before heading up to camp. The bus home will leave Pine Crest at 2pm on March 14, dropping off at Hollywood PS around 4:30pm and at the Central YMCA around 6:00pm.
Arrival at camp begins at 11:30am on Monday! Lunch for the campers will kick off at 12:15pm, so we ask that all parents dropping off at camp depart by that time. The week includes 3 meals/day & snacks, accommodation in our lodges, and counselor-led programming and supervision throughout the days and nights. Departure from Pine Crest is at 2:00pm on Friday. If picking up at camp on Friday, parent arrival begins at 1:30pm.
There are some things you should remember to bring to camp when you come for the week! Your basic packing list might look something like this!

March Break Camp costs $875 HST per participant with bus transportation to and from this event included.
Please note, 1:1 camper support is not available for this camp session.

If you require Financial Assistance, please complete this form with proof of income. We recommend you continue to register for the program(s) of your choice. This is to hold your spot(s) until assistance approval is received. Spots and assistance are not guaranteed, and YMCA assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
To register in advance of assistance approval, a credit card will be required for a deposit payment. You will receive a full refund if assistance is not approved, and you choose not to attend the program.

Notes
PROGRAM WITHDRAWAL POLICY:If you wish to withdraw a participant from a program, you can do so by accessing the participant's registration history via your My Y Account or by submitting your request to withdraw by email to register@ymcagta.org.
Withdrawals must be processed online or requested by email prior to the program start date. Refunds will be granted as follows:
- a full refund minus the admin fee of $25 if you cancel more than 14 days prior to the activity
- if it's less than 14 days we refund 50% of the cost
- if it's less that 7 days we refund 25% of the cost
- medical withdrawals accompanied by a doctor's note get a full refund no matter the timing
- we don't offer refunds for inclement weather
No refund of any amount will be granted for non-medical withdrawals on or after the program start date. Refunds will not be issued in instances where participant(s) is/are removed from the camp program at the choice or request of the participant or the participant's parent(s)/guardian(s) or are dismissed from the camp for contravention of camp guidelines or the code of conduct.

All programs are subject to change or cancellation due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances that are prohibitive to the operation of the program. In these cases, you will receive a full refund of your fees paid.
