Welcome to Kindred 2025 at YMCA Camp Pine Crest!
This is an annual event open to all current YMCA full-time camping professionals (outdoor education, overnight camp and day camp!) staff across CANADA! We're looking forward to connecting with you for 3 days of networking, teambuilding and professional development opportunities. Our goal is for you to walk away with strengthened support systems in the federation, feeling even more confident in your role, as well as new ideas to continue to enhance your programs and support your staff.
Please feel free to arrive anytime after 11am on Wednesday to settle into your accommodation, and we will kick-off the event with a welcome at 12pm in our Winter Lodge, followed by lunch at 12:30pm. Departure will be after 11am on Friday.
Registration for this event is set up 'family style'. One person from your organization/facility can register up to 5 people as a part of this booking. Once you've added the first person you'll have the opportunity to pay for other individuals attending and questions will appear to list everyone's names and provide personal details like food allergies/dietary restrictions. Please also use the 'Cabin Mate Request' question to let us know if there are any specific living/housing details you'd like us to know about individuals or your group.
Speaking of housing! We'll be living in a combination of our cabins and lodges while at Pine Crest. Our cabins are one-room spaces each containing 5 bunk beds (sleeps max 10). Washrooms are not in the cabins but rather nearby. Our cabins are scattered around our beautifully rugged site, but are not all fully accessible. If you have questions about the accessibility of a cabin please send us an email. Our Lodges are dorm-style buildings with washrooms in the building. Each room has two bunk beds in it (sleeps max 4) and each Lodge has 6 rooms. Our Lodges are accessible.

Notes
The fee listed is based on the first person registering. You will need to add additional individuals into the booking once you have indicated who your first participant is. You will be charged based on the number of people you add.
Note: Your first participant for your booking should be the main person we will contact regarding your booking.
PROGRAM WITHDRAWAL POLICY:
If you wish to withdraw a participant from a program, you can do so by accessing the participant's registration history via your My Y Account or by submitting your request to withdraw by email to register@ymcagta.org.
Withdrawals must be processed online or requested by email prior to the program start date. Refunds will be granted as follows:
  • a full refund minus the admin fee of $30 if you cancel more than 14 days prior to the activity
  • if it's less than 14 days we refund 50% of the cost
  • if it's less that 7 days we refund 25% of the cost
  • medical withdrawals accompanied by a doctor's note get a full refund no matter the timing
  • we don't offer refunds for inclement weather
If you are withdrawing due to a medical reason, these must be requested by emailing register@ymcagta.org and must include a medical certificate.
No refund of any amount will be granted for non-medical withdrawals on or after the program start date. Refunds will not be issued in instances where participant(s) is/are removed from the camp program at the choice or request of the participant or the participant's parent(s)/guardian(s) or are dismissed from the camp for contravention of camp guidelines or the code of conduct.

All programs are subject to change or cancellation due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances that are prohibitive to the operation of the program. In these cases, you will receive a full refund of your fees paid.
