What We Do

The YMCA’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of Canadians, in spirit, mind and body. Being healthy means lots of things: growing up strong and active; making connections and developing positive relationships with others; and learning to make good, responsible decisions. The YMCA supports parents as they work to lay the foundations of life-long health for their children.

The YMCA's Health and Fitness programs help kids build a foundation for physical fitness that will last a lifetime by helping them get active and build confidence in a fun, safe setting. YMCA recreational sports help kids build their endurance, strength, coordination, and agility by playing fast-paced games with their friends.

YMCA Child Care gives kids a strong start to a healthy future by providing programs that encourage them to be active in body, mind, and spirit.

Through leadership and team building programs, YMCA Camps and Outdoor Education programs build community amongst a group and help participants develop resiliency, build confidence and create friendships.

YMCA Youth Programs are specifically designed to help youth achieve their goals, get back on track and live a healthy life.
