Program Description

Located in the beautiful Muskokas, YMCA Camp Pine Crest has been operating premiere camping and canoe tripping for over 110 years. YMCA Camp Pine Crest operates as a summer camp in July and August and provides outdoor centre programs to a variety of school and special interest groups during the fall, winter and spring.

Major Duties

Major Duties May Include:

  • Working with facilities team to maintain Pine Crest site.
  • Completion of daily cleaning tasks.
  • Assisting in the completion of larger projects around camp.
  • Supporting Kitchen department when needed.


  • Minimum age 15 years old or turning 15 in the current calendar year.
  • Volunteers age 18 and above will need to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening from their local police service before their first day of volunteering and every three years on the anniversary of their first day of volunteering.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to follow simple instructions.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.


  • Room and Board at Pine Crest for the duration of volunteer contract.
  • Gain practical knowledge and skills.
  • Gain experience working for a multi-service charitable organization.
  • Be a part of the YMCA and promote the YMCA Mission, Vision and Values.
