Program Description

Located in the beautiful Muskokas, YMCA Camp Pine Crest has been operating premiere camping and canoe tripping for over 110 years. YMCA Camp Pine Crest operates as a summer camp in July and August and provides outdoor centre programs to a variety of school and special interest groups during the fall, winter and spring.

Major Duties

• Driving staff and campers to and from various locations within Ontario using YMCA vehicle for canoe trips. YMCA vehicle is a 15 passenger van with a trailer attached.
• Maintaining regular communication with Program staff and Volunteer Coordinator.
• Complete administrative tasks such as driver log book and volunteer time sheets to be submitted to YMCA staff during every trip.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21.
• Successful applicants to this role will need to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening from their local police service before their first day of volunteering and every three years on the anniversary of their first day of volunteering.
• Must have F class license.
• Drivers must provide valid driver’s abstract.
